5 Must-Have Cydia Tweaks Compatible with iOS 8 /8.3
For those of you who would like to access your Favorite Contacts quickly, right from the lockscreen, without having to enter your passcode or even unlocking your device, you should really check out Lockspeed. This simple, yet very useful tweaks adds an extra screen to the lockscreen, where you will be able to spot nine of your favorite contacts on speed dial. Contrary to what some of your might think, the interface is actually pretty neat and compact, and all the contacts are shown as avatars just like the ones you see in the task switcher. In case you are interested in Lockscreen, you can find it in the BigBoss repo for only $1.99.
This cool little tweak is meant for two things. First of all, it allows you to control the rotation of the homescreen/springboard on all iOS 8 devices. Currently, you can prevent the rotation of homescreen only by using the lockscreen rotation toggle. When having the SBFlip installed, you can have rotation for apps, but keep the toggle rotation for the homescreen icons.
In the second part, SBFlip will also let you control the style of dock icons when you rotate the screen. You can pick from stationary or dynamic, which will also arrange the icons on the side, as you can find in the case of the iPhone 6 +. SBFlip is free of charge under the BigBoss repo.
CroppingScreen is one of the best Cydia tweaks for iOS 8, at least in my opinion. This tweak is actually pretty simple, but very effective. All it does is to allow you to crop screen when you take a shot. When you press the home button and lock button together, you can drag your finger to select the area or part of the screen you want to capture. But, when you want to take a normal shot, simply press the home button instead of selective an area. I am sure that CroppingScreen is going to be pretty useful for those who use to screenshot their devices. The tweak is free under BigBoss repository.
4. AutoTouch Tweak for iOS 8
Auto Touch tweak is very useful for recording and playing back any touch/swipe operation done on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. It is quite helpful when you want to repeat the very action you have done earlier on your phone, and it can turn out to be pretty valuable for playing games. Apart from these, you can replicate human operation to test programs automatically. The tweak costs $4.99, and it is available in a trial version in the BigBoss repository.
5. No Tracking
The last tweak I want to add to my list of the best Cydia tweaks for iOS 8 / 8.3 is No Tracking. This tweak is essential for so many reasons. First, you can stop apps from tracking your data. In this way, you will have your private data kept private. The second great advantage that the No Tracking is offering is that it improved your battery life. When apps do not track your data, the battery life will be longer. It is available in BigBoss repo for free.
These are only some of the best Cydia tweaks for iOS 8, as far as I am concerned. I am sure that new great ones will come to light each day, as developers are moving pretty fast in offering us brand new alternatives to get the most out of our iOS devices.
